This book was actually 3 separate storylines combined in one book. The hero's were all distantly related and the story flowed well from one hero to the next.It starts with Duke Shawn Worthington returning home from the war to his estate that has been mismanaged by a younger brother. As part of rebuilding his estate, he decides he needs to find a wife. He meets Elizabeth who is in the middle of her 4th unsuccessful season (she has no wish to marry). Shawn is immediately taken with Elizabeth but because of some insecurities Elizabeth has, plus interference from her younger sister, Shawn and Elizabeth's path to happy ever after takes some turns.
Next we are introduced to Jonathan and Anna. Neighbors who come together after Jonathan ends up in her summer house after a night of drinking. He learns of a plot to keep her from marrying and securing her inheritance. He decides to help her find a husband before she loses everything.
And the 3rd hero is Shawn who feels very uncomfortable assuming the duties involved in running his newly inherited estate. He comes to the Duke for assistance and advice and while there meets 2 women who he must choose between when selecting a wife. He learns a secret about one of the women that helps him make his choice.
I thoroughly enjoyed Jessie Bennett ' s writing style for this book - intertwining 3 separate storylines lines together for one book. She is high on my list of enjoyable writers.

Jessie Bennett has a flair for intertwinig a group of characters in unique ways. I love that her books are always entertaining, but are clean reads. Can't wait for her next book!

More for a Duke by Jessie Bennett is a dashing bold read. A Duke returns home to find all is not well with the family finances. A younger brother not knowing how to deal with the finances right, led to some some disorder and interruption into the elderly brother's life. He returns back home, from war, and finds he must marry or else. This soon leads him to meeting a woman of his age who also, doesn't like going to balls. But something transpires between them. Lady Elizabeth is fascinated with the Duke; however, her sister doesn't want them together...and a particular man is also wanting the two new love birds separate.
A man who can forget a woman he's just met, a woman who is undecided about a man, and another man who can't take a hint...plus, jealousy comes into play. Jessie Bennett has entertained me again with her latest novel, More for a Duke. The title goes in hand with the tale perfectly. Both Duke and Lady are indeed a perfect match...
More for a Duke is sweet, innocent, and swoon worthy. Readers will blush, laugh, and fall in love with this great new read. Jessie Bennett's writing clear, precise, and flawless. I highly recommend it.
This might be the second book of Ms. Jessie Bennett‘s that I have read but already I am liking her regency historical stories and nicely developed characters. This compilation of many different stories arcs and characters still intrigued me until the very end. A few times I did wish Ms. Bennett just stuck with one storyline but by close to the end of the story I did began to understand a little why she wrote it this way. All the stories do kind of directly and indirectly discuss the first male protagonist the Duke of Worthington which was a little nice to see it all come together. Ms. Bennett also knows how to write a really interesting story and group of stories with some wonderful characters too.
Shawn William Duke of Worthington has returned home after serving in the military and is looking to settle down but that is not to be. The Prince Regent orders Shawn to get his affairs in order and bring Fairbanks to its former prosperity and possibly find a wife too. Shawn sets his sights on Elizabeth Dowling. Unfortunately Shawn must fight an older man also in line for Elizabeth’s hand and her conniving sister. Other couples that are intertwined with the story are Jonathan/Anna, Carter/Jillian and lastly Thomas/Anne Marie which each had a happily ever after.
At first all the different stories combined seemed a little too much but as I read into the book I was kind of happy that the book just didn’t end prematurely which seems to be a complaint of mine. That the story seems unfinished and there is more to their lives which with all the characters seem to make Shawn and Elizabeth’s life a little better. I did like Elizabeth, Anna, Jillian and Anne Marie I was happy they found their true love. All of them seemed like such strong beautiful resilient women that I know we would have all gotten along if they actually existed. Shawn seemed at first a little stand-offish brash and wasn’t a hero I liked at first but as the book progressed I slowly did like him. I couldn’t help but like Jonathan and Carter though. I did want more about Thomas but I felt he was okay I just didn’t connect with him like I did the other male characters. I did feel kind of sorry for Janelle and Katherine even though I didn’t like Katherine at first maybe she just needed to be loved. I do hope Ms. Bennett eventually writes about them someday and will definitely read more of her stories.
